chiaita f (plural chiaiti)

  1. (often in the plural) chit-chat, chatter
    chiaiti assai e fatti pocu ― all talk and no action
    inchiri la testa di chiaiti ― to talk someone's ear off (literally, “to fill someone's head with chatter”)
    troppi chiaiti mèttinu siti ― (please add an English translation of this usage example) (literally, “too much talk makes you thirsty”)
