Reconstruction:Prakrit/𑀔𑁄𑀯
Prakrit
Etymology
Unknown. Platts suggests Sanskrit क्षोद (kṣoda, “powder, sugarcane juice”), which would unify this reconstructed term with attested Prakrit 𑀔𑁄𑀬 (khoya, “powder, sugarcane juice”), whence Hindi खोआ (khoā, “pounded bricks, plaster”).[1]
