MacGuffinite

Variant of the term "MacGuffin" (a plot device popularized by English filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock), it's earliest recorded use dates back to 2021 but was popularized by the 2025 American animated heist comedy film The Bad Guys 2, the sequel to 2022's The Bad Guys, both loosely based on the book series of the same name by Australian children's author and former actor Aaron Blabey.
