Etymology

From Hindu +‎ -phobia. Sense 2 coined by Hindutva activist Rajiv Malhotra, although the London-based organization Hindu Human Rights also claims to have done so.[1] Contrary to misinformation propagated by Hindu activist organizations, sense 2 does not predate Malhotra.[2]
