Portmanteau of Cuomo +‎ Kuomintang.

This term is used in reference to the Retreat of the government of the Republic of China to Taiwan, insinuating that Andrew Cuomo and his supporters would establish a breakaway government in Staten Island following the election of Zohran Mamdani as Mayor of New York City.
