Atropatian Media

Calque of Ancient Greek Ἀτροπάτιος Μηδία (Atropátios Mēdía).

Atropatene was the smaller, northern portion of ancient Media following the latter’s partition by the Macedonians, the larger southern portion being known as Great Media.
