-pasi (verb-forming suffix, VAI (animate-subject intransitive))
- To be scared, to be afraid.
- apta- (“to die”) + -pasi (“to be afraid”) → aptapasi (“to die of fear”)
- chaoka- (“to cry, to be crying”) + -pasi → chaokhapasi (“to be scared to tears”)
