1. an ending of verbal nouns, as in வரவு (varavu)
2. an ending of abstract nouns, as in மழவு (maḻavu)
3. an ending of the past verbal participle, as in செய்து (ceytu)

1. a final euphonic anaptyxis developing from the consonantal ending of a word (especially in Spoken Tamil), as in:

   பல்லு (pallu) for பல் (pal),

   கொள்ளு (koḷḷu) for கொள் (koḷ), etc.
