Inherited from Proto-Turkic *-niŋki, from *-niŋ + *-ki. Cognate with Kyrgyz -ники (-niki), Southern Altai -нийи (-niyi), Tatar -неке (-neke), Uzbek -niki, Chuvash -ӗнни (-ĕnni).
