Old Persian
Etymology
Either independently derived or potentially via Neo-Babylonian 𒁍𒂅 (pu-ṭu /Puṭu/) and Late Babylonian 𒁍𒌑𒁕 (pu-ú-ṭa /Pūṭa/), 𒁍𒌑𒂅 (pu-ú-ṭu /Pūṭu/), 𒁍𒁕𒀀𒀀 (pu-ṭa-a-a /Puṭāya/), which are not from Old Persian, but directly from Egyptian themselves.[3]
