๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐
Gothic
Etymology
From Proto-Germanic *รพankaz.
Noun
๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ โข (รพagks) m
Declension
- While it is only attested as a spelling variant ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฝ๐บ (รพank, accusative singular), typically the regular lemma spelling is given as ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐ (รพagks) following regular Gothic orthography (compare the etymologically related ๐ธ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐บ๐พ๐ฐ๐ฝ (รพagkjan)).
- Note also that the gender of the Gothic word is not entirely certain - it may have been neuter - as the only attested form is an accusative singular, which is identical for masculine and neuter a-stems. However, it is assumed to be masculine based on its cognates in other Germanic languages.
