ππππππππππ
Venetic
Etymology
According to PrΓ³sper and Duque, the term contains the Proto-Italic adjective *kupros (βgoodβ) and the suffix *-ikos. It has also been suggested that it consists of the adjective *kupros and an element *-kon- (presumably from Proto-Indo-European *αΈ±wαΉ (βdogβ)), in which case the whole compound would mean something akin to "desiring dogs." Though, the latter etymology is rejected by PrΓ³sper and Duque.[1]
