Probably a borrowing from Doric Greek ฮ”แพฑฮผแพฑฬฯ„ฮทฯ (Dฤmฤฬtฤ“r), perhaps with a remodeling to allow the term to fit into the first-declension. Alternatively, it could have been more directly borrowed from a Greek term such as ฮ”ฮฎฮผฮทฯ„ฯฮฑ (Dแธ—mฤ“tra).
