    1. bodhi tree (Ficus religiosa)
      Synonym: 인도보리수 (indoborisu)

    Usage notes

보리수 (borisu) (or more formally the 인도보리수 (indoborisu, Ficus religiosa)) is an unrelated species from the 피나무 (pinamu, Tilia amurensis) or even the 보리수나무 (borisunamu, Elaeagnus umbellata), though all three trees are commonly found in Buddhist temples. The 인도보리수 (indoborisu) does not grow in Korea.
