- King Tai of Szu-shui had previously died. Because he was not [said to have] had any heirs, his kingdom had thus been disestablished. But a lady of his harem had given birth to his posthumous child, Hsüan, about whom the deceased King's Chancellor and Prefect had not memorialized nor reported to the court. The Emperor heard of the child and had compassion upon him. He set up Hsüan as the [new] King of Szu-shui; the Chancellor and the Prefect were both sent to prison.
