燒酒

1. a type of alcoholic beverage during the Tang dynasty

     Lìzhī xīn shú jīguàn sè, shāojiǔ chū kāi hǔpò xiāng. [Pinyin]

     The freshly ripened lychees are the color of a rooster’s comb, the newly opened shaojiu has the fragrance of amber.
