     Shìrì qīnpéng luòyì, shàngdēng hòu shǐ zuòyuè. Niànsì zǐzhèng, yú zuò xīnjiù sòngjià, chǒu mò guīlái, yèyǐ dēngcánrénjìng. [Pinyin]

     During the day a constant stream of relatives and friends came to congratulate Yun and me on our marriage. In the evening there were some musical performances in honour of the wedding, after lamps had been lit. At midnight I escorted my sister to her new husband's home, and it was almost three o'clock in the morning when I returned. The candles had burnt low and the house was silent.
