A lady; a woman.
A Lady, an aristocratic title for a woman; the wife of a lord and/or a woman who holds the position in her own right; a title for a peeress, the wife of a peer or knight, and the daughters and daughters-in-law of certain peers.
A woman considered to be of high status.

(a lady): 女(じょ)性(せい) (josei), 婦(ふ)人(じん) (fujin), 女(おんな)の人(ひと) (onna no hito)
(an aristocratic title for a woman): 夫(ふ)人(じん) (-fujin), 嬢(じょう) (-jō)
