Etymology

どよ (doyo, an onomatopoeia from which (どよ) (doyomu, also pronounced とよむ (toyomu)) is also derived) + めく (-meku, to show signs of, to have the appearance of, to look like, to seem like, a verb-forming suffix)[1]
