Cognate with Northern Thai ᩉᩖᩯᩅ or ᩉ᩠ᩃᩯᩅ, Isan แหลว, Lao ເຫຼວ (hr) or ແຫຼວ (hrǣu), Lü ᦶᦜᧁ (l̇aew), Shan လႅဝ်ႈ (lēao), Tai Dam ꪵꪨꪫ, Tai Nüa ᥘᥦᥝᥴ (láew), Zhuang liu.
