පොත

From Helu Prakrit [script needed] (potthiā) from Sanskrit पुस्तक (pustaka). Plural form පොන් (pon) comes from shortening of earlier *පොතන් (*potan), from Sanskrit पुस्तकानि (pustakāni). See there for cognates.
