Cognate with Kannada ಮಂಜಳು (mañjaḷu), Kodava ಮಂಜ (mañja), Tamil மஞ்சள் (mañcaḷ) and Tulu ಮಂಜಳ್ (mañjaḷŭ). Doublet of മഞ്ഞ (mañña).
