തള്ളുക • (taḷḷuka)

1. to push; to shove.

   Synonym: ഉന്തുക (untuka)

   അവൻ വണ്ടി പിന്നിൽ നിന്ന് തള്ളി.

   avaṉ vaṇṭi pinnil ninnŭ taḷḷi.

   He pushed the vehicle from behind.

2. to reject; to discard; to dismiss.

   Synonym: നിരസിക്കുക (nirasikkuka)

   കോടതി ആ ഹർജി തള്ളി.

   kōṭati ā haṟji taḷḷi.

   The court rejected that petition.

3. (slang, informal) to tell lies; to exaggerate stories; to utter falsehoods.

   അവൻ പറയുന്നതൊന്നും വിശ്വസിക്കണ്ട, അവൻ വെറുതെ തള്ളുകയാണ്.

   avaṉ paṟayunnatonnuṁ viśvasikkaṇṭa, avaṉ veṟute taḷḷukayāṇŭ.

   Don't believe anything he says; he is just exaggerating/lying.
