Borrowed from Hindustani پورا / पूरा (pūrā),[1] from Prakrit 𑀧𑀽𑀭𑀬 (pūraya), from Sanskrit पूरक (pūraka), from Proto-Indo-European *pleh₁- (“to fill”).
