Etymology

Sanskritic formation from સત્ય (satya, “truth”) +‎ આગ્રહ (āgrah, “insistence, pertinacity”). Coined by Indian freedom fighter Gandhi in 1908, who says in his autobiography that Maganlal Gandhi coined an earlier version of it, સદાગ્રહ (sadāgrah).
