Inherited from Prakrit *𑀮𑁄𑀦𑁆𑀤 (*lŏnda) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀓- (-ka-). Cognate with Maithili लोंदा (lōndā), Gujarati લોંદો (londo).[1]
