Inherited from Sauraseni Prakrit *𑀘𑀼𑀟 (*cuḍa) + Middle Indo-Aryan -𑀇𑀮𑁆𑀮- (-illa-). Cognate with Gujarati ચૂડેલ (cūḍel). Related to چُوت (cūt, cunt)، چُڑ (cuṛ, vulva)، چُڈّو (cuḍḍo, harlot).
