    Borrowed from Classical Persian فَرْبِهْ (farbih), from Middle Persian [script needed] (plpyh /⁠frabīh⁠/), from Old Persian *frapīδwa-, from Proto-Iranian *fra- + *piHtú (fat, tallow).
