Inherited from Prakrit 𑀲𑀁𑀪𑀸𑀭𑁂𑀇 (saṃbhārei, “garnishes”), 𑀲𑀁𑀪𑀸𑀮𑀺𑀅 (saṃbhālia, “supported”), from Sanskrit संभारयति (saṃbhārayati, “causes to bring together, prepares, maintains”).
