Etymology

Borrowed during the revival of Hebrew from Aramaic דּוּלְבָּא (plane), from whence also Arabic دُلْب (dulb) originates. It semantically replaced earlier עַרְמוֹן (armón), whose meaning had been obscured when Hebrew ceased to be spoken.
