Etymology

Compare with Akkadian 𒀭𒁇 (parzillum), Classical Syriac ܦܪܙܠܐ (parzəlā), Aramaic פַּרְזְלָא, Ugaritic 𐎁𐎗𐎏𐎍 (brḏl), Phoenician 𐤁𐤓𐤆𐤋 (brzl). Klein assumes Anatolian origin.[1]
