Inherited from Proto-Yeniseian *qal ~ *qel ~ *qol (thumb).[1] Perhaps related to Ket ӄак (qāk, five), from Proto-Yeniseian *qak (five).[2]

Inherited from Proto-Yeniseian *qʌɢaλ ~ *ʌɢaλ (gall), possibly derived from Proto-Yeniseian *qʌɢ (“bile?”) + Proto-Yeniseian *ol (cover, bladder).[3]
