Ket

Etymology

Inherited from Proto-Ketic *kʌje (“head”), derived from Proto-Yeniseian *kʰʌjga ~ *kʰʌlga (“head”).[1] The full stem is found in Ket къйга (kə́jga, “head”). Possibly also related to Ket кый (kɨ̄j, “prince, male sovereign”).
