Inherited from Old Ruthenian богословїє (bohoslovije),[1] from Old Church Slavonic богословиѥ (bogoslovije),[2] ultimately a calque of Ancient Greek θεολογία (theología). By surface analysis, багасло́ў (bahaslów) + -е (-je).
