From λιακό (liakó, balcony) +‎ -άδα (-áda), from Byzantine Greek ἡλιακόν (hēliakón, sunny spot), itself a neuter substantive from Koine Greek ἡλῐᾰκός (hēlĭăkós, solar).[1][2]
