επιχρίω • (epichrío)

  1. (formal) to coat, cover, or apply a substance uniformly over a surface; to apply a layer (especially by plastering or rendering)
    to carry out an επίχριση

      he applied plaster and coated the wall

  2. (medicine) to apply a medicinal substance externally; to smear with an ointment
