Etymology

From Proto-Nuristani *čatrudaċa, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *čatwr̥- + *dáća. The element -iċ is most probably analogical (eg. *tridaċa > *triaċa > triċ), and becomes -eċ after numerals ending in u.[1]
