Etymology

From Proto-Athabaskan *lἀx̣-quʼ, equivalent to łah (once, sometimes, at one time) + -go (adverbial suffix). Compare Ahtna tsʼiłghuxu, Lower Tanana ts'iɬghw, though the Navajo lacks the initial tsʼ-.
