điểu học

Sino-Vietnamese word from 鳥學.

Probably coined by Vietnamese speakers since the term in CJK, 鳥類學 / 鸟类学 (điểu loại học), contains the collective 鳥類 / 鸟类 (điểu loại), which is pretty much never used in Vietnamese (native chim chóc or more loosely chim muông are used instead for the collective noun "birds"), while most Vietnamese speakers probably know at least that điểu (鳥) is the Sino-Vietnamese morpheme for "bird".
