Yehor Yakushenko (Ukrainian: Єгор Якушенко, born 2006) is a Ukrainian Greco-Roman wrestler who competes in the 97 kg weight class. He represents Ukraine in international competitions and is a multiple-time world and European champion at the age-group level.[1]

Career

Yakushenko began competing internationally at a young age and earned his first major success in 2022, winning the bronze medal at the 2022 European U17 Wrestling Championships in Bucharest.[2]

In 2024, he dominated the junior (U20) division, capturing gold at both the 2024 European Junior Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad and the 2024 World Junior Wrestling Championships in Amman.[3] Later that year, he also claimed senior-level gold medals at the Arvo Haavisto Cup in Finland and the Haparanda Cup in Sweden.

The 2025 season marked Yakushenko’s breakthrough at the U23 level. He won the 2025 European U23 Wrestling Championships in Tirana and went on to capture gold at the 2025 U23 World Wrestling Championships, also held in Tirana.[4] He also successfully defended his junior world title at the 2025 U20 World Wrestling Championships in Samokov earlier that year.[5]
