Kolby Davis, known professionally as WTM Solid (known simply as Solid) is an American rapper from Detroit, Michigan, best known as a member of the collective Wrld Tour Mafia. He first gained notice on the group’s 2021 tape World Tour Mafia or Die—with “John Wall” highlighted by Pitchfork—and later for his 2022 solo single “Everyday,” chosen by The FADER as a “Song You Need.”[1][2]
Career
2021: World Tour Mafia or Die (debut project)
On August 21, 2021, Solid made his first appearance on the Wrld Tour Mafia debut mixtape World Tour Mafia or Die (16 tracks; ~36 minutes). The project circulated locally and online for its deadpan Detroit flow and clipped punch-ins; Pitchfork singled out “John Wall” for its effortless cool and crew chemistry, helping introduce Solid beyond the city’s scene.[3][4]
2022: Originatour and Tourmania
In May 2022, Solid released his first solo project, Originatour (11 tracks; ~21 minutes). The FADER called the single “Everyday” “fittingly chaotic,” noting how his jittery ad-libs and slippery cadences ride rattling percussion; the coverage framed Solid as a distinct voice within WTM’s rise and positioned the tape as a concise solo debut with momentum into later work.[5][6]
Later that year, WTM issued Tourmania (September 11, 2022; 20 tracks; ~50 minutes). Legends Will Never Die praised the step up in production and group interplay compared to the debut, calling it one of Detroit’s stronger collective statements of the moment and giving it a positive write-up.[7][8] During the same period, The FADER Rap Report highlighted the crew cut “Stamped On Me,” placing Solid in the wider conversation around the collective.[9]
2023: Matter of Time and Mob Ties
On January 13, 2023, Solid released Matter of Time (13 tracks; ~25 minutes), a compact solo set that leaned into stark drum programming and conversational flexes while broadening his footing between Originatour and later releases.[10]
That fall, WTM returned with Mob Ties (September 29, 2023; 10 tracks; ~21 minutes), a street-minded bridge between Tourmania and the crew’s next full-length, tightening themes of motion, trust, and money while keeping drum-led urgency.[11]
2024: It Gets Greater Later, Tourmania 2, Blood, Sweat & Tours
On August 22, 2024, Solid released the EP It Gets Greater Later (5 tracks; ~8–11 minutes), a brief reset that sharpened hook writing and pacing ahead of his 2025 run.[12]
WTM followed with Tourmania 2 on April 20, 2024, scaling to 22 tracks (~52 minutes). Legends Will Never Die described it as “a step above” the first installment, spotlighting chant-ready writing and playful pro-wrestling references across a bigger canvas.[13][14]
On November 22, 2024, the collective released Blood, Sweat & Tours (15 tracks; ~36 minutes), received as a cohesive statement of a refreshed lineup and sound, with praise for tightened focus and thunderous Detroit production.[15][16]
Since 2025: Imagine That, Killa $eason, Touropean, Cross $tate Boys
On February 7, 2025, Solid released his debut studio album IMAGINE THAT (16 tracks; ~34 minutes). Legends Will Never Die rated it 4/5, citing sharper writing and continuity with his 2024 sound while presenting a more focused individual statement beyond the crew.[17][18]
On June 6, 2025, he issued the EP KILLA $eason (6 tracks; ~12–13 minutes), framed by reviewers as a lean, momentum-driven flex that trades maximal hooks for pace and penmanship.[19][20]
On July 4, 2025, WTM released Cross $tate Boys (23 tracks; ~59 minutes), a sprawling road-rap compilation that extended the momentum of the prior year’s album; Solid appears throughout in anchoring verses.[21]
On August 29, 2025, Solid released TOUROPEAN (10 tracks; ~20 minutes), a compact travelogue that critics praised for tight concepts, horns-led openers, and self-improvement themes, consolidating the summer run with memorable hooks.[22][23]
