Villadeati Castle (Italian: Castello di Villadeati) is a castle located in Villadeati, Piedmont, Italy.

History

The original castle, dating back to the Middle Ages and now lost due to the destruction wrought during the War of the Mantuan Succession, was transformed at the end of the 18th century into a scenic and elegant residence inspired by the style of Filippo Juvarra. The castle has been owned by the Feltrinelli family since the early 1960s.[1]

Description

The castle stands in a commanding position atop the hill on which the village of Villadeati lies. The structure is enhanced by a series of four terraces and galleries following the slope of the hill, as well as by belvedere towers, semicircular structures, and exedras.[1]
