Tikva (Hebrew: תקוה) is a Hebrew word meaning "hope" related to the Ethio-Semitic name Tesfaye. Despite being grammatically feminine and most common among women, particularly in the Ethiopian Jewish community due to its similarity to various Ethiopian names, it is a male name in the Hebrew bible.
