The Price of Money: A Largo Winch Adventure (also known as Largo Winch 3 and released in French as Largo Winch : Le Prix de l'argent) is a 2024 action thriller film directed by Olivier Masset-Depasse and written by Giordano Gederlini and Domenico La Porta. Just like its predecessors, the film is based on the Belgian comic of the same title. It serves as the sequel to Largo Winch II and is the third installment in the Largo Winch film series.[3] Tomer Sisley reprised his role as the film's title character, with James Franco starring as the main antagonist.[4][5][6]

The Price of Money was released by O'Brother Distribution and Pan Distribution on July 31, 2024, in France, August 7, 2024, in Belgium, and August 28, 2024, in Russia and Kuwait. The film had a budget of $17 million but only grossed $3.8 million worldwide.[7]

Plot

Largo Winch—wealthy, resourceful, and haunted by the unexpected collapse of his empire—is thrust into relentless turmoil when his 15-year-old son, Noom, is kidnapped. The kidnapping is followed by a shocking public suicide of his business partner during a live press conference, sending Largo’s world spiraling downward.

Desperate to reclaim his son and his reputation, Winch uncovers that these two devastating events may be linked to a vast conspiracy aimed at destroying him. Suspicion falls around powerful adversaries manipulating behind the scenes, and only by confronting this hidden network does he stand a chance of saving Noom—and himself.

From Canada’s cold expanse to the dense jungles of Burma and the neon-lit streets of Bangkok, Winch fights a global battle. Pursued by enemies, haunted by betrayal, and battling overwhelming odds, his journey pushes him into the darkest corners of the criminal underworld… where his resolve—and morality—will be tested like never before.

Production

The majority of the photography was done in Bulgaria; additional locations include Thailand and Belgium. Early in February 2023, filming got underway, and it ended in late June.[4][9] James Franco, who plays the film's villain, and Tomer Sisley, who will play Largo Winch in a manner reminiscent of the previous two installments, are among the key characters cast.[3]
