The Daily Life of a Part-time Torturer (拷問バイトくんの日常, Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō; lit. 'The Everyday Life of Torture Part-Time Workers') is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yawora Tsugumi. It began serialization on Hakusensha's Manga Park and Young Animal Web services in December 2022. It has been compiled into seven volumes as of December 2025. An anime television series adaptation produced by Diomedéa is set to premiere in January 2026.
Plot
The series takes place in a world where torture and killing are legal, and companies specialize in doing them. It follows Cero, a part-time worker at one such company, along with his coworkers Shū, Mike, and Hugh.

Anime
An anime television series adaptation was announced on June 20, 2025.[3] It will be produced by Diomedéa and directed by Fumitoshi Oizaki, with series composition handled by Hitomi Amamiya, characters designed by Sake Shibuya, and music composed by Kenji Fujisawa.[17] It is set to premiere on January 4, 2026, on Tokyo MX and other networks. The opening theme song is "GO GO PARADISE!!" performed by Granrodeo, and the ending theme song is "Ashita Tenki ni Naare" performed by Takuma Terashima.[4] Crunchyroll will stream the series.[18]
Other
In commemoration of the release of the series' third volume, a promotional video was uploaded to the Young Animal YouTube channel on December 27, 2023. The video featured voice performances from Junya Enoki and Hiroshi Kamiya.[2]
Reception
The series was nominated for the ninth Next Manga Awards in 2023, and was ranked sixth out of 61 nominees.[19] The series was ranked fifth in the Web Manga General Election 2023.[20]
