"Teethsucker (Yea3x)" is a song by American rapper and singer Rico Nasty, released on February 20, 2025, as the lead single from her third studio album, Lethal. It was co-produced by Imad Royal and Rayman, with Royal also serving as the album's executive producer. The track was the first song written for Lethal and the first that Nasty co-wrote with Royal.[2]
Composition and style
"Teethsucker (Yea3x)" has been described as a heavy, riff-driven rap rock track.[1] Beats Per Minute called it a "distorted electro-punk banger."[3] HotNewHipHop noted the track's "rocking, guitar-heavy instrumental over some loud 808s."[4]
Critical reception
Pitchfork described the song as a forceful introduction to Lethal, noting it frames the album's rock-leaning direction.[2] HotNewHipHop described the single as a "banger" that uses loud guitars and heavy percussion.[4] Stereogum covered the announcement and single release in its news post.[5] Stereoboard reported that the single "strikes a balance between rap and electro-rock."[6] Billboard featured the track in its "R&B/Hip-Hop Fresh Picks" roundup, writing that it is "more of the rambunctious rock-rap we've come to love from the DMV MC" and highlighting Rico's performance over production by Imad Royal and Rayman.[7]
