Stochastic Drift[2] is the second studio album[3] by British-born producer Barker, released on April 3, 2025, and April 4, 2025, on other platforms[4] by Smalltown Supersound.[5][6][7] Featuring eight songs, the album received critical reception from multiple publications, including AllMusic and Pitchfork. The album is a follow up to 2019's Utility.[8] The album charted and peaked at number 15, 17, and 41 on different charts.[9][10][11] The album was supported by only one single, "Reframing".[12]

Stochastic Drift received a score of 85 out of 100 on the review aggregator Metacritic based on five critics' reviews, indicating "universal acclaim".[13] Harry Tafoya of Pitchfork described the album as a "synthesis", expanding saying, Barker navigates extremes, touching between chaos and mediated technology.[15]
