Star Wars: Galactic Racer is a racing video game developed by Fuse Games and published by Secret Mode. The arcade racer, set in the Star Wars universe, is set to be released in 2026 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Gameplay
Star Wars: Galactic Racer consists of both a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode. The podracing game is set on a fictional timeline after the events described in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi.[1] It features multiple tracks on several Star Wars planets; locations include the planets Jakku, Ando Prime and Sentinel One.[1]
In the game, players can control various vehicle classes, each with its own unique physics, according to the developers. The selectable vehicle classes also include speeder bikes. Vehicle building is another gameplay element.[2][3]
A ranking system is planned for the multiplayer mode.[4]
Development
The game was unveiled in December 2025 with a trailer at The Game Awards and announced for release in 2026 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.[5] The game's developer, Fuse Games, based in Guildford, has been working on it since its founding in 2023.[1] Fuse Games was founded by senior developers from Criterion Games, the studio behind the Need for Speed and Burnout.[6][5]
