Sonoita is a formerly monotypic genus of jumping spiders. It was first described by George and Elizabeth Peckham in 1903,[2] and is found only in Africa.[1]
While its formerly single species, Sonoita lightfooti, was described in 1903, a second species was described in 2022.[1]
Distribution
S. lightfooti has been found in Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, South Africa, with a possible finding from India.[1]
