The Society for Philosophy of Religion (SPR) is an American learned society founded in 1938 and is a forum for the interchange of ideas in the philosophy of religion. It holds meetings annually and sponsors the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion, published by Springer.[1][2][3] The society was formerly known as The Southern Society for Philosophy of Religion and dropped the word 'Southern' from its title in 1971.[4]
